Current good buys

I am now looking for the electronic fit for my hull. Have a large console so room is not a problem.
I still have my colour Garmin 182 C with charts and remote aerial but need a new radio, sounder and stereo.
I did have an Icom 505 and Garmin 240 blue sounder but what good units at good prices are available at the moment?
I am also looking for marine stereo but know nothing about them, any advice?

Marine AV have a good reputation - they have been mentioned on here a few times!

I think the Stardard Horizon CPV 350 looks like a great piece of kit (it's on their web site at http://www.standardhorizon.com). As far as I know it has not been released in the UK yet, but I intend to get one as soon as it is... Well that's presuming that Standard's pricing is as competitive as usual!

This one has been discussed several times.

Due to CE marking issues its not legal to use in the UK.

Sure Mr Brooks will be along soon to explain properly.

I ordered another M505 last night and a Sony marine cd/MP3/radio. Just need a sounder now for the basic fitout.
Are the Furuno ones any good? prices are fairly good and the look lik quality units. Anybody got one of the entry level ones?
Would it also be a success fitting a thru deck transducer in the rear well? No interference or anything with it from the turbulence at the hull edge?
