Yamaha 25 Autolube Astern Lock

Hi,

I ordered a linkage bar from the US to lock the outboard when it goes into astern. This connects the gear shaft to a stainless link on which locks the engine in place. Does anyone have a photo of how this is supposed to attach to the gear shaft. Does this sit just below the two nuts on the shaft?

Many thanks in advance

It hooks under the gearshift nuts as you thought. Not Yamaha’s greatest effort!
