Yamaha 115hp 4 stroke

Hi all, i am looking for advice, information, tech help regarding the wiring for this engine.
i have the Yamaha 703 controls, the yamaha fuel managemnt guage, the yamaha speed guage, none of which has a wiring diagram or suggests any additional wiring loom required.

any help / links / pdfs would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Dave

You will need a few bits to get it up and running. What year is engine? Is it a fuel injected model?

The link below should give you an idea for starters.

There is a very helpful Yamaha dealer on this forum called Davie, it may be worth giving him a shout.

Yamaha F115 AET

Hi there my engine is a 2009 (G) F115 AET 68v

my rib is n2k rigged for all the other electronics

i have a fuel flow sensor that is n2k, both of my mfd units are linked Garmin & Simrad, the new fuel sender unit (2 wires).

this is a completely new installation, all wiring, sender units, transducers are currently being dry fitted.

Would you not be better displaying the engine info on your MFDs instead of the Yamaha gauges?

Hi Alan,

many thanks for the reply, the yamaha gauges are going to fill the gaps left in the consol by the old broken gauges, the mfd's will primarily used for nav and echo sounder.

i am more than happy to rig any wiring looms that may be required, i just need a wiring diagram to support the engine and gauges.

Regards Dave

As you mention you have fuel management and speedo you must be using the old gauges which will work with all the correct harnesses and sender unit for fuel flow. Your engine will have command link on it so you would possibly be cheaper (and far easier) to go with a 6y8 speedo/ tachometer kit. Cost you all in with all cables about £280 and another £30 for the electric speedo sender if you don’t already have one. This all plugs into the white plug with the blue and white wire. Hooking into your mfd can be done but you still need the cables + the Yamaha interface which will cost more than above and you will still have the holes to fill in the dash.
