Yam 40 tiller to remotes

Does anyone have these parts to do this or have you done it before?

I'm just wondering if it's worth the effort?

I'm not sure on the F40, but if I remember right, the 2 strokes with front mounted shift operate via 2 very short morse cables and fit onto the same linkage as the remote cables would, so no parts required except a new steering bracket.
