What prop?

I have a ribeye s650 with a Yamaha f150. The current prop is an alloy 14.5x19 and at wot it maxes out @ 5000rpm. There is general wear & tear on the prop so time for replacement, should I stick with the same prop or take the opportunity to fit a more suitable prop? Thanks

What's the WOT range on the engine? You want to be around there, usually 5500 which would want a 17 or 18p prop

I have a 6.6m cobra with a Yamaha f150. While my boat might be a tad heavier I run a yamaha M19 prop.

I talked to Cobra about props and was told "We have some of the best performance figures recorded on the M19 propeller"

The M19 is stainless but its painted

It might be a starting point.

It's imperative to know the min-max wot rpm range factory stated for that motor, running at 5K says nothing about its wot rpm range.

To prop right a watercraft will depend entirely if you want a spot on hole shot with slight top speed reduction or top speed with slight less hole shot as usually loaded in order to go for current new 19 prop or for 18-17 ones depending on what's been stated before.

All my boats are running at their max wot rpm range as usually loaded with maximized less prop pitches from standard factory delivered one, a day/night boating difference.

Happy Boating
