Volvo Tmd 31 A

Anybody know if its possible to tune or replace parts on this 100hp engine to make it more powerful? Its for a friend whos looking for about 150hp. Engine is a 1989

On the same block:

TAMD31 is 130hp. Has an intercooler. Probably different fuel pump and injectors and Turbo as well?

AD31p is 150hp. Uprated version of above - revs a bit higher but I don't know what mods there are.

KAD32 is 170hp. Has a supercharger as well as all of the above.

At volvo prices I reckon uprating might be uneconomical.

i would think a car intercooler could do the job.

do you know if this engine fits the volvo 280 leg
