Long shot but...

I have the owners manual for my 9.8 and links to a couple of parts diagram websites but despite looking for a while not found a full maintenance manual either online or in hard copy.

Anyone by any chance located one?

Apart from Gearbox oil, Impeller if it isn’t pumping, plugs from time to time and a little grease here and there there is nothing to do.

Do you mean a Shop Manual rather than something sold to the public, like a Clymer?

Yep far prefer a model specific makers maintenance manual as the Clymers are a bit general. I've managed to get the proper ones for Mercury/Mariner, Yamaha and Suzuki in the past but they seem somewhat elusive for this particular Tohatsu.
