Recent Optimax service

Just a word of thanks, to Rob / Mark at Black Dog marine whom recently organised & serviced my 150 Optimax. Great service, really know their stuff (ex E P Barus employees) and at a fair price (in my past experience all a bit of rarity within the marine industry).
Plus a great price for Optimax oil.
No connection just a satisfied customer.

I popped in there a few weeks ago as I was passing and was after a fuel filter. Very impressed with their attitude and knoledge. Apparently they are expanding soon too and I'm sure it will be a success. Wish they were E-tec dealers lol.

On Tuesday just gone took boat and 2 of my son's to Plymouth for our adv, p'boat course, mid morning realise volts are dropping and we're getting no charge from alternator, course is in jeopardy

Rang Rob who dropped everything and drove from Looe to Plymouth within the hour and had the boat fixed whilst we finished our classroom work, course saved

Can't express my gratitude enough, eldest son wil be away shortly for 7 months so re-scheduling would have been a nightmare. It's not the first time I've had service like this from Black Dog.

Had an ignition barrel (12 months old!!) fail whilst on a job a few weeks ago......quick call to Rob who emailed over the wiring diagram immediately to the Blackberry so we could 'hot wire' it....

Rob even had a spare barrel in his tool box which he mailed over that day (new one was on back order from Belgium).....

Nice one Black Dog. Have only ever met Rob at Barrus but he's a great guy.

As a Mech myself, I do like to hear about dealers trying to make a difference.

I am trying to do the same myself down in West Wales, Dan will vouch I am sure !

Fully agree with all. Great guys and best service I have had in marine industry. Got all my trade from now on. Just watch out for the local traffic warden if launching from carpark!

I have just ordered service packs for 3 Mariner outboards, all arrived by courier within a day, very impressed and wish it wasnt such a long journey so i could get a full service there.

Oh and price wasnt bad either!!

Snap - I ordered some Mariner parts from Black Dog Marine last week, Rob was very helpful and the right bits arrived the next day - they have my business from now on.

All I need is the "BDM Servicing Tour Bus" to cover those of us a long way away from Cornwall !

Well, My parents live in Buckingham so next time im up!! And we have a workshop in Trafalgar Wharf which is which is where Mark (ex Barrus) works from.
