Hi Can anyone tell more about this prop please, Part No.48 79570A4 15P. What I would really like to know is how many splines. And will it be suitable for 50Hp. 4 cylinder Brown band 2 stroke. Many thanks.

An ad on Boats and Outboards lists it as a prop for Merc 150/200hp engines, which should make it a 15 spline hub.

I found that most of the Merc 50's have a 13 spline setup, except the Bigfoot, which has 15.

I suspect the blade diameter and hub diameter would not allow it to fit your 50, even if you had the correct spline count on the shaft.

13 spline x 15" pitch, not too sure on dia, usually around 10" > 10 3/8" ish. cant find that prop No. in my books, ur brownband engine would be from 1984

Merc 500s went from 11 splines to 13 splines around 1970
