Hyd steering request

Hi All,

Now that i have at long last got my boat back from BHG. Does anybody have a 6.5m rib with Hyd steering fitted, that lives around the Lymington area and that would be willing to take me out so i can see if it is worth getting for my own boat? No time limit, just would like to try before poss buying.

Any offers would be a great help.

Many thanks

Stuart

If you have the spare cash then go for it even without having a test. You will not regret it specially since you have a 6.5 mtr rib with a 115 HP motor

I have a Parker 6.3 rib with the Mercruiser 1.7 TDI with power steering and it is just great . The steering wheel just turns without any great effort. I have driven a Humber 630 with the same diesel engine but without power steering and believe me you can feel the difference.

I have a 6.5 Porter (ex BWM DS21 hull) with a 140 2s Tohat on the back with Sea Star stearing, here at the top end of Chi Harbour .
Really light to stear and will go in a straight line hands off.
Pick a nice day, and go for a squirt, subject to basic electrics being sorted theis w/end.

Or try these guys, they should know of someone or even have a demonstrator.
