Gear box oil choices?

I am looking to service the engine in a few weeks and was wondering if there is any good reccomendations for the gear oil I should use, Oh and where I can buy it from?

Mail order or internet if not local to Brizzol.

I have an Evinrude Ficht, (BRP) 135Hp.

Thanks

Gary

Yamlube - that's what I use on my Twatsoo! Remember to get new rubber sealing washers, and a pump system is more practical than the loose 250ml 'squeeze bottles'.

Buy local where possible.

Force 4 in Brizzle will sell you Quicksilver gear oil and the pump to get it in with.

to echo others get new sealing washers-they have a habit of letting water in if re-used.

Thanks fior the replies all

Looks like i will be getting my Butt up to Force 4, Been there before, so know where it is. Will be needing some 2 stroke as well, and probably some greases and bits and bobs, so all together can make it a worthwhile journey.

I have ordered the sealing washers and spare plugs, as well as the impellor replacement kit, annodes, lower leg seal kit (if needed) and also a few fuel filters, along with Pikey Daves link on indexing the plugs, Diagnostics kit, and hopefully a manual on the way(maybe) I think I might be able to manage.

Of course if I get completely screwed will ask my kid brother for help, such is the bonus of having a motor mechanic in the family Having said that he usually works on Landies, so he will probably turn up with a sledge hammer and a crowbar as his tools!

Again thanks all

Gary

Dont worry will be a few weeks before I am home, so will look at the prices, but the Black Dog Marine prices do look very good

Will have a bit of research and see where to get the lubes and stuff.

Again thanks for the replies all

I've always used Yamalube stuff in my Yam, but the Quicksilver gear oil is great aswell. If you want a budget option I see you can get Rock Oil Marine Gear oil on ebay for £6 a litre plus shipping. I'm thinking of trying it next year as £16 a litre for quicksilver is sarting to get ridiculous
