Decreased tell tale power

80hp Yamaha 2 stroke 1984

Changed full water house assemble 4 hours ago. Tell tale was awesome really strong.

The other day while loading the boy off a trailer in waves the intake might have came out of the water for 1-2 seconds before getting into the water.

Boat runs great but the tell tale is probably down to around 60% of what it was. No overheating or anything.

Should I strip it all again (I have a feeling I should but I really don’t want to)

I mean it’s a good tell tale still and it seems to be cooling the engine well.

Have you stuck a piece of strummer wire up the hole might be a bit of crap in there I wouldn’t worry if it’s got a decent stream.

Always keep a bit of strimmer wire in your pocket - they can't touch you for it!
