Chip tuning outboards

Does anybody know if it is posible to chip tune/rebuild a 150 hp
Mercury EFI to 200 hp ?

If it is posible what parts do I have to change ?

No that is not possible.
it is an other engine.
from 135 to 150 is possible but very expensive.
200 to225 is also possible.

On this subject, how easy is it to mod the Mariner 50 HP 4 stroke to the 60 HP ?.
I know its the same cc, block leg etc.

Anyone know if its easy done and what needs changing to make it a 60 HP.

Gary,
Check out Marinepower.com technical forum. Apparently it is just a matter of taking a plastic stop out which restricts movement on the carb butterflies.
