Cheating Mercruiser TKS system ?

I have in my hard boat a 3.0 L (2010) Mercruiser(raw water cooled). Getting nuts with the choke/TKS system. The problem is that it takes ages before the TKS will deactivate. And before that the rpms will be like 1100 (to much for shifting in gear), when the TKS deactivates rpm will be roundabout 700.

In summer time this takes maybe 11 minutes, now when the weather is cold more than 20 minutes! If setting the idle to 700 when engine is cold, engine will stall at idle when warm, not too fun berthing that way.

Thermostat appears to be working OK, its closed when engine is cold and temp gauge showing about correct numbers.

Anyone hawing a workaround this?

To be honest the 3 litres run ruff when cold until normal temp . Cutting out when trying to shift gears . I would suggest to crack another beer or 2

Guess not much can be done about it then. Summertime can live with it but during the cold season the waiting time is ridiculously long. Would only need the rpms to go down for short moment when engaging the gear when heading out in case the engine is cold .... can't figure a convenient tweak to do this.
