bye bye engine?

Aright so im in a bit of a hard situation. I had just left the harbor, opened it up to about 35 mph, and maybe 1 minute into it my engine spontaneously slows down and at the same time the oil starts spilling out of the seams of the outboard. All of it. Alarms were going off, the spillage was uncontrolable, but i kept goin at the slowerst speed possible till we smelled gas. Then i turned the motor off and dove off the boat lol. But we had to swim while dragging the boat for about a kilometer, i thought i was gonna throw up. But i just had the 20 hour service done to my engine and that was the first time i used it since then. Any idea what could have happened? ive never seen anything like it.

sounds like the oil pump is stuck wide open, and the powerhead has lost its seals, thares a good chance it's ok, that it just got over pumped with way to much oil.

sounds like at service the linkage got disconected,to make an addjustment or to test , when the oil pump gets disconected it don't shut off, it goes Full Blast.

see that you got a 4 strocker, you can't diss' the oil pump, but you can over fill the crank case with oil,( forget to drain it, forget you filled it, and fill it
again), that would do some thing like you described.

Who cares? It's a warranty problem!

I'm keeping my eyes open for that black Ribcraft, but haven't seen you out and about. However, I never get down to Nahant, except by bicycle.
