Background
The Centrica Lakes Challenge is a unique fundraising event organised exclusively for Centrica employees, taking place from Friday 18 June to Monday 21 June in the heart of the English Lake District. Up to 39 teams of seven will take part in a variety of mental and physical challenges across the weekend. The aim of the event is to bring teams together from across the Centrica network, but also to raise almost £200,000 for Cancer Research UK.
RIBnet member Mike Burns (aka Mike B) is entering and several other members have generously offered items for a fundraising auction. You can

All money raised from the auction will go to Cancer Research UK (registered Charity 1089464)
Bidding

In order to place a bid, reply to the thread for the item you want stating your bid value. You must also provide your name and email address, either in your reply or by email to

By bidding, you are stating that you are ready and willing to purchase that item for your bid amount, plus any shipping charges disclosed in the listing. If you are outbid, or your bid does not meet the seller's reserve price, you are under no obligation to buy. But in all other cases, you are entering a contract to buy the item, and to deliver payment within the time period specified. Bids are final and non-retractable.

What to do after the Auction
The Auction closes at 12.00 midday on Wednesday 9th June 2004.
Mike B will send notifications to both the high bidder and the seller after the end of the auction.
Payment will be requested and correspondence and payee details provided. Payment must be made by Tuesday 15th June 2004. If payment has not been received by this date and other bidders have exceeded the reserve price set the next highest bidder will be contacted.
Both the buyer and seller will be advised once payment has cleared and are expected to contact each other, within 3 days after this notification.
