Transom wheels hitting outboard

Hi there,

I have a quicksilver 365 with transom wheels which rotate into an upright position and lock into place. I am currently using a Mariner 20hp efi 4 stroke and have ran into a little issue.

When turning the outboard, the cowling makes contact with the steel bar(s) of the transom wheels when they are upright. The wheels themselves are fitted in the maximum distance possible, so moving them is not an option.

Any ideas on how to protect the cowling? Was thinking some adhesive rubber stickers but curious if anyone else has ran into the same issue.

Cheers,

J
