I'm on iPhone and it has just changed. So far I don't like it!!

I'll see how easy it is to dig that information out for you. It's certainly not 98% of people...

Here are some stats on the whole UK population (so not accounting for the fact that ribnet is predominantly reasonably affluent, male dominated and mostly adult). It also doesn't account for the number of people who don't use smartphones at all.

No I still have the bar stewards they're horrendous!! Every topic either st the bottom of the page or a post. Not good enough I pay supporter fee to help run the site and don't expect this distraction all the time!! Get rid now [emoji35][emoji35]

They don't seem to appear in the Timeline view. Still get the photo preview though, which is annoying. The photo shown in the preview isn't even relevant to the last post, it mixes the last post with the last photo posted, its rubbish[emoji849]

Yea thanks Dave. It's very unprofessional it seems the mighty dollar rules no matter the cost and irritation to users. Not a good reason for changing something that worked for the important people I.e. The user!! Come on admin show us you care about our feedback.

Unfortunately there's nothing we can do about it as we don't have any influence over the app development. As I mentioned earlier it's a cut down version of Tapatalk with RIBnet branding. It's free, and it is what it is.

The full version of Tapatalk has more features (like the ability to turn off the stupid image previews) and for a tenner you can go ad free. That's what I've done.

Otherwise you could try using a browser and selecting the mobile style at the bottom of the page and see how you get on with that. It might be a better option.

If you log in don't the ads go away? I don't see any on my new app. I know it wasn't obvious I wasn't logged in until I tried to respond to a thread.

As an alternative to the app you might consider the mobile view of the site; it's pretty good - you might give that a whirl.

There's a link to the mobile view in the lower left corner of the forum under "style chooser"

I've just upgraded in Android.

You can turn off the previews...

Menu (... In top right)
Settings
Edit discussion card
Untick show photo preview

I assume similar options in iOS?
