I think it was more good luck than good judgement don't think you would control much with all that energy pulling and pushing in so many ways. A lot of energy in that sea.

I'm not so sure Billy. To me it looks like good timing (=good helming) and a decent sized engine, for a yacht!

Ian in all honesty I agree with you. I take my hat of to the skipper he certainly had guts and great skill. But I think the biggest positive was to have thrust at the ready.
