Well someone didn´t want to have his photo sent with a ticket obviously, if they would do it here we would sell more systems (we sold 2 systems this year).

And a member of the public actually rang the police to advise the camera door was open!!!! How sad and how English is that? At least the Italians have got the right idea - they shoot out the lenses

Bloody hell I am actually agreeing with you!!!!!

Just don't start me off on speed cameras - or even better Labour's wonderful traffic policy in general - more cars on the road - what do Labour do? Make the roads narrower!!!

All the main roads in our area have been massively reduced in width - either through making pavements(where NOBODY walks) about 15 feet wide(seriously) or making parking laybys. They are now also removing all the bus stop laybys so the bus has to stop in the middle of the main road!

I just can't believe people put up with it - and they just can't see that it is NOT the number of cars that is causing the problem but a deliberate policy to "encourage people not to use their cars"!!!

the guy who did that should get a medal- Service to humanity, ect ect.
Now if this was done on a national scale - just think of the implications
Personally I think its a disgrace that the motorist is used to finance greedy
government ambitons or local authorities overspending. What was that i heard ?ithat Camden council actually budget parking fines as a source of income ? One day there is going to be a revolution and the guy who stole the Camera is starting it. I would like to know what's he going to do with it??

If he's got any sense he'll shackle it in a cage, make a video of it and send it to Al Jazeerha with a bloody big ransom demand. Bet Tony Blair would pay that one

Thats an interesting point eupa, we have the means (internet) and the reason..with a tool like the internet, protests that would rock the government could be a real possibility..look at the Country Side Alliance. a few thousand motorists could bring London to its knees, repeat that a few days and you could bring the government down. so when do we start?

Whilst I have no problem with speed enforcement outside schools etc I hate idea of these cameras being used as income generators. The Wiltshire police recently bought an unmarked motorbike with speed cameras on board at a reported cost in excess of £40k. Apparently it paid for itself in a couple of weeks!

The cameras get torched regularly here in Wiltshire & outside Bath & most people I know support this action. Maybe that says a lot about the people I hang around with

The message sems to be getting through to the powers that be though, as the wonderfully named Wiltshire Road Safety Partnership now publish details of fixed & mobile cameras on their website.

Come the glorious day......

Or as I experianced in Malta police vehicle on patrol well marked but not equipped with beacons nor lightbars nor sirens so no chance of alerting apart from the horn, on other hand not chance of speeding on their narrow road and what a loads of old cars like Viva´s, Mini´s to just name a few what a choice of unrusted vehicles so next time I need to take Jón Baldur along so he can by himself some more vintage cars for his collection.
