Mobile phone recycling

I just received a cheque for £301 this morning for a bunch of old mobiles that were gathering dust,.. from these guys www.fonebank.com An original N95 series 1 is still worth £100 to them

The site is really easy to use, and they will take branded (locked) handsets, they dont want any chargers or memory cards, all they need is for the phone to turn on, but they will also take broken ones (for less money)

I sent off mine on Tuesday, and got my cheque today

Sure I could maybe get more off fleabay, but then again not ... and at least this way there is no hastle .. dont forget to wipe all your passwords & contacts though

Yeah but where do they send the phones if they can't reuse them??

Probably illegally to China and then burnt for the precious metals!!

That's what happens to most of our recycled rubbish anyway!!!

Wether we like it or not China is just entering it's own industrial revolution. Ours caused a hell of a lot of mess - the snag is China's populations is a tad bigger than ours was...........

the gippos do plenty of illegal burning around here to get copper from cables - funnily enough the EA are never around when you need them..........
