LCD telly?

Anyone know where the best deal on a @19' LCD telly is at the moment?

Doesn't need to be anything special, just want to set the two smaller Nashers PS2 up on it.
Want an LCD because of space issues, depth wise.
Or does anyone have one for sale used?

Would also be interested in another used PS2, so I no longer get the arguments over who gets to use it.

Nasher.

I bought a Vistron from ebay a few months a go, really disapointed with the viewing angle and also the build quality felt cheap. Wouldn't recommend

Needless to say it was back on there within a few hours of receipt, went for more that I bought it for though so made a few squid in the process!

ebay sometimes has it's up sides

Was only thinking of the cheapness. Like everything, you get what you pay for.

Argos had a 19" Proline in the other week with built in freeview and dvd player. Was on sale at £165.

How come you haven't gone back to Novatech, they've got a couple on at around £150. And we know they're a good company and local

Thanks all for looking.
I'll be investigating a couple of the leads today.

Andy
The Vistron may be worth a look considering what I want it for.

ITB
I'll probably end up back at Novatech, just wanted to see if there were any out there really cheap and worth having at the mo.

Do they have to be TV's? If they're for a PSII then could you just buy a monitor?

I wondered that, but don't know enough about PS2's.

Certainly the cables we have only have SCART sockets on the end.

Perhaps somebody who knows can comment.

To use it with a monitor you'd need either a VGA or DVI output from the PS2 which I don't think they support

Or you could buy a little box to convert the output from the PS2 to VGA for the monitor. I picked one of these up on ebay for about £20.

So

The second PS2 and 21' LCD are now in place.

Unfortunately the LCD has arrived minus its 12V 7A power supply

Anyone know where I can get one quickly at a reasonable cost?
Its the barrel type with a centre +ve pin, NOT the 4-pin type.

Ta

Yes you have one in your car and your boat!!!

Seriously though that is quite a hefty amperage - would be quite expensive in Maplin etc I would have thought.

I have used a car battery for things like this many times - assuming it's DC of course!!!

I thought that.

It is actualy only 6.6A, printed on the back.

DC 12 6.6A.

They are available on ebay for @£15 but I wanted it for this weekend.

Hadn't thought of Maplin, will have a look on line.

Edit
Just checked - They only do a 5A one, and thats £35.

What I need is one of these but locally.

Nasher I am serious about the car battery - it's a very smooth supply.

You could use a connector from a much cheaper power pack - one of the universal ones. I would and have!!! I also use a booster pack as they are handier but don't last as long before they need charging - have even powered hard disks this way!!!
