Yes. But No. But Yes. But No. But Yes. Hang on a minute I'll just go and Google and then give my answer................

Seriously though (yeah right!), I think Hugh/Chris came close recently to exposing who Codprawn is:

Hypothetically thinking:

You set up a website. It's dedicated to a sub-species of an existing sport.
You get some hits, but not as many as you'd like and certainly not enough to inspire confidence with your sponsors. So what do you do?
You invent someone.
A member who posts frequently.
Someone who provokes responses and lengthy debates.
As time goes by the character develops, helped of course, by all the responses provoked.
Within a few months the character becomes an embedded part of the site culture: people "tune-in" just to read the next instalment of the saga.
Et voila! Your site has a healthy traffic count. Sponsors are happy, you're happy, the host provider is happy, the clients are happy.

ergo: JK is Codprawn, Quod Erat Demonstrandum and thank you

of course I could be wrong, but that's what Google says

JK was right this is f'ing boring

Maybe Codders and Codder bashers should set up a different forum dedicated to the task rather than filling this one with it, as it's killing an otherwise great forum

For you and a few others - maybe - for some people it gets insulting and for others just downright boring!!!

now back the thread, the question is "Codprawn, do we love him"?

my answer

Yes i think he or she is a star, always got lots of useful information and always very willing to share it with others, fab sense of humour, probably very well known locally and has a wide circle of friends, keen on adventure and taking risks, great personality and an interesting profile. Probably a family person, probably the sort of friend you wish you never had.

That depends a lot on whether one has a sense of humour/fun? Ditto the Jackeens.

Codprawn - its a good name for a start.

If he is a troll he will be a fat one by now after being fed 55 posts on just one thread in his name.
Codders is generally attempting to be helpful or show off his knowledge and mastery of google. Can't see a lot wrong with that or why it is offensive. Afterall on a forum everyone is entitled to their opinion.

It is entertaining though IMHO.

Classic codspeak phrases to watch out for:
I nearly...
Once I had a...
My mate has a...
My [member of family] was a...
I studied...
When I lived in...

Keep up the good work!

Bullies always think it's funny to beat up other people and they always seem to think that the victim thinks its ok too

Not a very sophisticated sense of humour
