The RIBnet Gathering - Pembrokeshire Coast - Sat 1 to Mon 3 May 2010 (bank holiday)

Hi All

Being a fan of the Pembrokeshire Coast and associated islands - what do people think about a Ribnet get together down there.

I know a cracking and cheap campsite in Dale (£6 per night with showers), launching is free, an okayish pub, BBQ's on the unaccessable beaches (to walkers at any rate), and some stunning scenery and ribbing waters - Skomer, Skokholm and Grassholm all very achievable

I'm thinking May time - perhaps the first Mayday bank holiday?

Open to other suggestions and of course experience of more local Ribsters - what do you think??

J (getting very excited about something not yet happening!!)

Send a message via Skype™ to bogib
Was in St. Davids last week ribbing around that bay Ramsey island and it was like miniature cruise around Vestmannaeyjar, caves, islands, cliffs so fell in love with the area and would seriously consider coming spending long weekend there, so yes, I will watch for this and set remark in my calander

Will be back mid November more ribbing this time more likely to be out of Harverfordwest.

Why are you getting rid of the Yakt-Line? Apart from the slightly camp aesthetics, it went really well on the Solent.

It did too mate, but like you say its a bit "camp" lol, especially when you see it beside an SR.... or any other decent rib for that matter. Dunt noh areit gorrinta Yorkshire. Its done its job of getting me and the family introduced to ribbing though and I'm looking for something around 5.5 meter, something that will keep up with you guys and not knock all the teeth out of my mouth or tie my spine in knots when it gets even slightly lumpy. We were looking at a Zodiac 12 Man but I also like the Ribcraft 5.3 and the wife likes the Ballistic 5.5 Whichever way, I want to spend lots of time next year having the time of my life thrapping about on the water with other like minded friends.
