Neal, would have thought that The Camber would be easier for you to get to from up here - just down the A3/A27/M275 and then follow the signs for Old Portsmouth. Good slip and trailer park. (Plus a brilliant cafe very nearby )

I will be dashing back & forth across the Solent on Saturday on the bridge(s) of the car ferry and the FastCat. so will keep an eye out for any stragglers left over (on Ryde sands perhaps!!!!!! ) from Friday.

Weather looks good S.W. for most of the day swinging round to N.E. towards the end of the day and finally ending up as an Easterly Force 0 - 2!

See you all later.

Another nice outing on the water today. I have got some fantastic pics but I don't think I can post them until I get back to uni.

Thanks to Pete for the ride and Craig (+crew) for the zapcat jumping. Thanks to everyone else for being photogenic!

Summers coming, I feel it in my bones....

Excellent day.

I've just got home, Howard (+crew) and I went to the Folly for drinks after dropping Paul (Timboli) off at Calshot. Bumblebee and Zippy are still in the water awaiting tomorrow’s adventures - anyone else out?

Peter all went well thanks, just as well as lots more spectators here than Haslar. It made the day a lot better going from there as were were able to stay out an extra 3 hrs . It a long way down at low water there but nice to have another place to go from. We met another RIB net member there (Andy & Crew ) who gave us some info. Still must look at storage down there A3 closed again last night Liphook area and to go cross country home.

Fantastic to see you all.

And it was a great privilege to be 'out there' on such a wonderful day.

Martin and Anto thanks for rounding us all up

The Solent was well-behaved and two boatloads peeled off to Cowes for the day (great to see ye team Halliday & team Neal ) while 9 boats went to Yarmouth. Martin drove Zeb like he was in a powerboat race

Slimtim was on the pier, camera at the ready and Dave took a break from the paperwork...with the sun shining Yarmouth gets all mediterranean but the fuel pumps get busy... Big monster boats gas guzzling. Great surprise to see Dennis already there with the very beautiful 'Cara'.

After a leisurely lunch the Needles were mentioned and off we went. Pacifics are getting remarkably popular as photo platforms and Andy, Ricky and Michelle just blasted ahead and waited to get those unique shots.

The waves made a little effort for us out there but when we went to Scratchells Bay , Team Lunasea (zapcatters Craig and Adam) took over playing with the shore dump like there was no tomorrow...

Gotta mention that Howard was in a T Shirt all day (mind you it was a 'London Irish' ). That Revenger always looks great Ian. And as usual the condition of DJL's boat put us to shame

It was hard to leave! Some gathered at Cowes for the sundowners and some of us Pompey Lot had grub and drinkies in Port Solent. 'Rock steady' Antoinette helmed Pete's Pac all the way home

Great to meet a few new peeps too (especially a new neighbour Graeme!)
and hope to see you all again soon. Certainly felt really grateful to have been part of a fantastic trip on a superb March day.

Us

Neal

Glad you got home safely. Shame about the A3. Too many Londoners trying to use the same bit of road I should think.

Thanks for the company. Sorry about the erratic driving on the way home. Andy likes to be in the lead (damn yot racer).

Superb day out and nice to meet some new people.

Weather was fabulous for March and the Kings Head in Yarmouth were very accommodating as ever - great food.

Needles was great and amazing to see the surf breaking on the Shingles. Craig entertained us in the Zapcat in healthy swells team 'lunasea' is about right!

Special thanks to the Jackeens for being perfect hosts as ever and for letting me drive - great fun. Also special thanks to Pete7 who let Anto drive the Pacific all the way back to Porto Solenta and letting her moor it up too. (Great curry in the Indian Palace for afters).

Thanks to everyone we met and we can't wait until the next one.

Martin & Anto

Fantastic trip!

Many thanks to the Jackeens for organising such a great day. No doubt will see you around Port Solent!

Excellent to meet so many friendly folks - looking forward to seeing you all again soon.

I was so sad to leave early especially seeing the great pics! Looks like you all had a lot of fun at the needles! Craig, that zapcat is a missile!

Thanks for the company Paul, good to see you got a lift back ok.

Cheers

Graeme
