Hi Andy - yeah I guessed you are equally flexible got all the bits and missed windows

When I could do it other things or weather not good when weather was good work (and staring at flat seas)

Looking forward to the Pasty run [emoji106]

Yep, and time to question spec and kit fitted!

Should be a more capable and comfy boat for a Scillies crossing though!

The 2 happiest days in a boat owners life; the day he buys it & the day he sells it[emoji6]

Im really keen to make it to the scillies this year too, never been so would like a flotilla. upgrade from a 5m brig 60hp to a 6.50 Zodiac 150 hp due soon.... 6m brig found itslef stranded on a production line in Kharkiv three weeks ago, such a tragic situation for the folks at Brig.

Hi, I have a week booked in St Mary's 6/8 - 13/8. If it looks like a suitable weather window I am planning to taking my Brig Navigator 520 over from Penzance. My back up is tickets booked on he Scillonian. Interested to hear any plans. Cheers Phil

Hi Phil,

I live down in Cornwall anyway (when not away for work etc) so idea for me is to see what the weather is like and take the risk on a sea crossing only

Is the Scillonian cancelable with a certain amount of notice?

Hopefully this thread will remain active as we get deeper into the season

Already had some awesome flat days earlier this year and was tempted to keep going on to Scilly - hopefully get more of the same as far as a settled spell goes

At around 100nm from Plymouth it'll have to be a very good day

That day did Falmouth in a just over an hour each way and a very large fuel bill when I next fuelled up

Navionics have it as 93.8nm from the dry stack to Isles of Scilly

Would stop off in Penzance/Newlyn and go from there the following day

Agreed that it would have to be a pretty special day to do it all in one shot - doable though

What is the accommodation situation on the Scillies ? I have been looking at booking and Airbnb and there seems to be nothing available. Thinking about Friday night or Saturday.. or even both nights.
