Sorry for the confusion about the entry fee - £15 is the Royal Southern Members rate - non members pay £20 but get temporary membership for the event.

Oh and if Diggler's considering it he needs to be banned because he'll be trying to do it in Brittany Ferries with a four course meal and wines

Hey Mr. Chairman and Committee (Martin)....sirs.

If at all the weather is inclement are there extensive plans being made to entertain all us noble ribsters in the convivial surrounds of The Lower Bar ...namely the provision of sandwiches , chocolate cake and a wide range of beverages whereupon we can scare each other with lengthy tales of our near misses and then take the ferry home???

Yours Respectfully,

(no I didn't say 'near missus' Waver so don't even go there )

Missus

If the weather is poor we will resort to the B course and lunch in Yarmouth but if really bad you are welcome at the Royal Southern to regal us with tales of the deep

Very impressive route planning Paul, you have shamed me enough to dust off my charts

Lets hope they remember to put my boat in the water this time

Starting to get excited.

If the conditions are deemed to be too rough we have a Solent course and failing that of course there is always the bar

Predicted I think is the point here. Plan the passage then execute. You can predict your finish time taking into consideration tides stopages etc using the correct formula.

I didn't know MadMat was bringing his boat. We could have a side bet on the quantity of fuel we would use

For your info if you did not know distance x 60 divided by speed equals ETA.
