As i've had to bail (no pun intended) Kerny, you were the obvious choice!

As an aircraft owner, you are the captain! "This is your captain speaking, today's flight is our maiden voyage, despite this it should involve some good altitude whilst airborne at a targeted average speed of 25 knots, but we may be expecting some turbulence at times and possibly find ourselves above sea level at a standstill, if our navigation is as good as previous flights on previous craft! Should this happen, please exit the craft on either side on the inflatable tubes, proceed down the sandbank and await the rescue craft, Domino. Wishing you all a safe journey, god speed!"

Wind Map - Britain Forecast

Forecast for sat 1pm is SW ly, about a force 4, 14-16 on the SW side of Anglesey, 10-12 on the NE side. So Straits and NE side of island should be fine for display as you hug the coast getting there from Menai anyway.

Getting round Anglesey. Hmmm. You may struggle if you pop out of straits at Caernarvon going clockwise, especially in smaller boats, though the wind would be with tide at that point up the SW side. Or going Anticlockwise, coming round after Moelfre on the North side you will probably start to struggle by middle mouse approaching Holyhead. Skerries and stacks would be interesting! Weather is sun and cloud.

Sunday is similar but sunny.

Personally I'd still go if i could. You could run down through bridges to Caernarvon and have a play on the bar before heading back up strait and round to Moelfre to watch the display. Or the opposite, the bar would probably be better as the tide flows out in to the wind.

We will decide tomorrow if its worth doing the trip i would have liked to go round the island and as you say the weekend looks to be the worst of the weather.
Its a long way for some people to travel just for a play in the waves the likes of mrs t aint to keen on getting soaked
whats the general feeling of others i know kerny is itching to get his new boat wet and he does like a bar to play on a pub bar

As were going anyway, we're happy to fit in with others want to do. I'm more than happy to play in the straits and poke a nose out to the bar, but it can be a touch dampish out there!
I agree on it being a long way to travel to be dissapointed, especially they way fuel prices are, for travelling and boating, there will always be another weekend and for some maybe waiting for good weather and trying again at short notice is the way to go.

If this weekend ends up a washout, we will there till the Bank Hol if anyone wants a trip out when the weather improves, hopefully!! If not, looks like the pubs will get plenty of bussiness
