Hurst Castle

1. Anyone know how close we can get to it/ get off and look round it?

I can see there's a ferry to it from Keyhaven but I'm fairly sure there's "No parking" at the castle itself.. Does anyone know about mooring at Keyhaven?

I'd thought about beaching/anchoring on the English Chanel side?

Any thoughts?

2. Can anyone also recommend a good place to eat in Yarmouth? When we were there last year the Wheatsheaf (?) had stopped doing nachos. Anywhere good for a crab sandwich and a beer?

The anchorage on the west side of North Point is quite popular but is tidal. It is where I've anchored the couple of times I've been.

However a lesson identified the last time I was there, if the wind has any west in it, you may be better anchoring on the east side of North Point. You can then put your anchor on the shingle beach and it would make transferring to the boat when it is time to leave much easier as you can just pull the boat in.
