Interested, but couldn't do it unfortunately. I need more notice to get the kids in the kennels.

I will be out for a blast either Saturday or Sunday morning trying to work out how to use the GPS plotter...

Lucky I didn't join you. Went for a spin to Sark on the way back got an oil alarm and the engine went into slow mode, then got another alarm so had to stop. Went on the auxiliary for a while then got a tow. Could have been interested half way to Carteret!!

Looks like Pro-sport didn't reconnect the 2-stroke supply properly and Sunsport didn't notice when they serviced the engine!!!

It seems you are both getting the boats sorted for the season. Better to get the problems out the way now.

I did hear a request go out on c16 to offer assistance to a yellow Rib and thought it may be you.

I was enjoying a 3 course lunch in Dilette so was a bit too far away to help out. Sorry. Water was flat on the way back.

Maybe we should try and do something over Easter ???

Hi Alan,

Glad to hear you were enjoying dilette!

Mine should.........touch wood (apart from a beaching to give it's bum a wipe) should now be okay!

Spoke with LL at Barnet and their is nothing in the loom that could have been damaged by the salt water as all the wires are covered in plastic and nothing terminates or joins anywhere in the loom. So good news there! I think I also may have finally managed to empty it all out and have regained my 10 knts that I seemed to have lost!

Unfortunately, due to an over indulgence at the weekend of beer, curry and takeout I am now sat at home with stomach cramps and bog paper in the fridge cooling down!

Yes that was me. Neither us nor the tow boat could get St Peter Port on channel 20 or 73 so I had to use 16. Bit odd as we had line of sight from about half a mile SE of Jethou and the tow boat was just off Fermain.

The stupid thing is that I stopped the auxiliary to radio St Peter Port and say we were on our way back very slowly and if anyone was going our way, we'd appreciate a tow; then couldn't restart the auxiliary so had to call them again to say we were screwed and really needed a tow!!!

I do try!

A potted history of RN, RM and Rugby has left me mentally scarred and have inherited a gob and attitude of a matlow!!

Yup!

I'm still trying to get the last of the water out of the loom which I can only do at full trim and low revs......bar taking the thing out and shaking it!

Managed to get a more reasonable speed on the way back in though.....back upto 49knts!

Thought it was you and was gonna say hi but you'd skiddadled by then. Maybe see you over the weekend but I have to take out our other pride and joy (Channel Island 22) to go and lay the pots and do some diving!

Although 8 degrees with a hangover is not my idea of fun!

Turning into a beautiful day here! Blue skies and supposed to be upto 18 degrees today! Have a good trip to Herm!!

Fog shouldn't be much of a problem as I can see the castle from Salerie Corner and looks to be clearing nicely!!!

Hangover still not quite passed but feeling much better than I did at 7!!

Great weekend!! Bit chilly at speed, but nice to be in sunnies

Saw a pod of dolphins off Belvoir yesterday, about 6 of them. Killed the engine and they came right over to check me out then swam on.

Cant believe you saw the dophins. I did hear about them but couldn't find them. Went out again on Sunday but again no sign.

Was great to be at the Mermaid and in sun, almost summer.

Lets hope next weekend is sunny. If the weather is good and flat will be running iver to Carteret if you are interested.
