No, but was thinking about going out when she is in the Forth next Saturday if weather and family commitments are OK.

that presumably meant 8 months living in close proximity to a highly stressed wife - that sounds really unpleasant!

18.00 - Follow her back to Mount Stewart Bouy.

Ralph - you've missed it for the forth (it was Saturday). I didn't make it either as Mrs P had other plans that involved me looking after Little Miss P who's too little for me to take on the boat without adult supervision. And when I said I was planning to do this she said "its just a ship" !

got out and about it today...alas no pictures ....i grabbed the camera but the bloody memory card for it was still in my computer so couldnt snap anything.

what a beautiful ship it is .....proper ocean going styled hull .......always liked Cunards style of vessels ......drove past the piers and the ques of people and traffic trying to get alongside the jetty was huge. Large police presence so unsure if something else was going on.

not the greatest of day but was flat calm around 2 oclock ...bit of mist and rain .....also had a good blast up loch long then one of the crew decided to be sick over the side .......couldn't stop laughing when he ralphed out the false teeth and they rapidly sank ....new set of chompers required for him.

Went out to see the QM2 depart this eve.
She is not nearly as good looking as the QE2 in my opinion. she has a nice bow but i think they ran out off money for the stern. I looks very much like a cruiser stern for another boat welded on to the back as an after thought. IMO of course lol

D'oh! And here was me assuming that Chewy had been on the banks of the Clyde for some random reason.... I really must get an early night sometime soon

Strange that - I had a remarkably similar conversation last night......

Doug - is it just me or in your second picture does it look as though someone has been a bit careless parking her?

Maximise the interior space and still fit into some restricted length harbour?
