Alderney, Guernsey, Jersey, St Malo, Bay of Biscay - 12 to 16 July 2007 [new dates]

Afternoon All,

Plans are under way now for a trip next year which I hope in the end will see me arriving in Portugal.

The 1st part of the trip I will be running a cruise for BIBOA which will take in all of the Channel Islands from 7th July to the 14th July. If all goes to plan I will continue down to the Bay of Biscay and make a decision from there.

If you would like to take part in the Channel Islands event, register your interest and I will keep you posted with updates etc.

This will be a great event for people who have not visited the Islands before or perhaps taken part in a reasonably long cruise.

Charles I will be in touch soon to see if your about and arrange to meet you.

All the best

Julian

Hiya Julian .

If enough smaller RIBs are signed up , I would like to register my interest . Perhaps an indication of the logistics would help folk decide if the trip is viable for them .

eg max. distance between refuelling , longest leg of trip , fuel availability etc .

Thanks Bern

Cool, would definitely get involved with any planning or arrangements to be made. Maybe a big 'braai' at my place again - would love to see scattered bodies lying all over the place in the morning

Thanks Charles, between us we could organize a few things to do whilst we are there, The last time I was at your house I fell in the harbour on the way back. Think I may have over done it on that day. Be good to catch up.

I'll post some more information here as the plans develop.

Cheers

Julian

Julian

I have about a dozen charts from the Channel Islands down to St Nazaire, plus 2 pilot books that I won't be using again. I could be persuaded to donate them for a relatively small amount of beer, if required.

I also have a chart chip of the French Atlantic coast that I used in my Navman 5600 but I would want serious beer for that !

Urgent Date Change

Hi Guys,

I am sorry to have to do this but due to a work change I have to slightly move th date of this event as I will be away on Business now.

The new revised date will be the 12th July to the 16th July, I am sorry about this and understand if a few of you cannot make it etc but I had no option.

I hope to see you there.

Regards

Julian

Hi Martin,

Hope your well, Glad you can make it on this one. I will get all the details confirmed over the next few weeks etc. Are you able to join us on the Dartmouth run as well on the 22nd June for a few days, should be good.

Is the boat all up and running now then, I did hear you had a few problems.

All the best.

"No" not at the moment, I took the leg over to Crawford Marine on Monday, but they are very busy, so the end of the month is their estimate when it will be ready, "fingers crossed". We are hoping to go on our local club cruise in early June, to Carteret and Herm. At least we now have a 5.85 Solent with an old Suzuki 55 on the back to play with, providing the weather improves? All the best Martin
