I can't see that you have posted before so welcome to the forum. Always exciting to get a new outfit on the water.

There has been the very occasional mention of a Takacat on the forum but no real experience so I look forward to hearing more of how you get on with it.

Well as this is my first ever vessel, I don't have anything to compare it to to be honest. But first impressions are that it's extremely well built and a great design. Stayed bone dry even in the chop, the open transom works really well. Side spray was the only evidence of moistness!! At first I found it quite skitty, but once I had the hang of how it handles it was fine. Top speed (Brand new engine so not fully run in) with just me and gear on board was 12.4 kts.
