Index marine cable gland

I have an Index Marine cable gland, still in the packaging. Can be used to make a waterproof instaltion of something electrical on your console; stops water getting through along the cable into the console. Paid £15 (but it's the wrong size). £10 gets it (with free postage!)

Is this still available? If so, can you give me an idea of the max dimension of cable that the gland will take?

Thanks

Andrew

It is still avalible. It's the "SS2" model which will take a cable from 9-14mm, and will accept a plug up to 21mm.

Thanx Tim - however bit too large bore, I've only got a couple of 6-7mm leads to go into the console. Do you know if Index do spare inserts?

The one I have came with three inserts; you use the one most suitable to the wire you want to put through it. I have it in front of me as it goes. Apparently "SS1" takes cables 4.5-9MM which is probably a bit more suitable for you.
