Sorted.

The carb was left empty for a month or two, and I'm assuming the float stuck open so the bowl over filled.

Have filled the bowl with cleaner, then run the engine with a heavily...

Suzuki DT25 Fuel Leaking out of carb

I noticed some fuel dripping from the top carburetor. Can't really see where exactly as I'll need to remove the oil reservoir (and the weather is shocking) but it's out of a hole cast in the carb on...

Injector Cleaner for Suzuki 4 Strokes

We've got a couple of safety boats at the club with varying sizes of Suzuki 4 stroke engines. They don't get driven hard, spending most of the time at little more than idle, and every now and again...

New steering cable. A bit heavy and 'clicky'

I've just replaced a steering cable for the first time, as the steering was stiff in places with some play in the wheel.

With the new cable the steering is smooth with no play, but feels a bit...

Did you tell the police?

I'm guessing it might have been the same people that tried to steal the engines from the sailing club last week. Didn't manage to take anything, but cut all the cables :-(

We do have a bin for working on it - just wanted something for a quick flush. I've see you can buy a hose connector for the flush point - any experience of this?

Suzuki DT25: Flush muffs?

We don't get any water pumping when trying to use flush muffs. Is it worth getting a better set that seal around the intakes better, or is it something that just doesn't work very well?

Makes sense. Just got to decide if I'm brave enough to take the springs out and clean them up without having a spare to hand. If one pings across the boatyard tomorrow's fun is cancelled!

Idle screws working loose? Suzuki DT25

I'm getting my DT25 idling nicely (about 1 1/4 turns) but after a bit of use it starts to sneeze at idle, then cut out.

When I try and set it up again the screws are further out. Has anyone...

I'll see if trimming it out also raises it a bit first. Physically raising the engine could be a bit of a job (even just getting the old bolts off).

'Plume' of water from engine

I've got a Suzuki dt25 on the back of a Porter's 4.5m rib, with anti-cavitation hydrofoil fitted.

I get a noticeable plume of water off the back of the engine, even at relatively low speeds.

Removing anti-foul

Is there a safe way to remove anti-foul without damaging the tubes?

Apologies if this is already been answered somewhere - my tablet won't let me use the search facility.
