VHF aerial boot.

My vhf aerial mounts through the flag pole. So the cable hangs down and is outside It’s a glomex. It came with a little gland cover (looks like a blue condom) but this is trapping the water around the connection. My old boat had no cover to shield the connection. Shall I just cut the blue thing off?

Self amalgamating tape is your friend here. Or heatshrink. Nice picture of the antenna set ...
