Back on thread (well for the moment hopefully ) how far can you throw one (yes I know you are supposed to hold on to one end).

Last year there was a jet skier on the mud at the mouth of the Beaulieu River, he went on fast at high tide and we saw him at low tide and he must have been 150 to 200 metres from the closest point we could get the boat and between us was bottomless mud. Now being a jet skier we left him there but had we wanted to help him I don’t know how we could have got any closer Des
