Throw line / rescue quoits

With all the talk about life rafts etc I was wondering how many people carried a throw line
I think they are a good idea because they allow you to get to someone who is in an inaccessible place while keeping the boat in deep enough water to keep it safe, and yet it is not something you often see on a rib and I don't know why Any thoughts welcome
Des

Louise, do you guys carry a defibrilator? Or a stretcher? Blood transfusions? Insulin? Surely someone must carry a hyberparic chamber on board.

I was taught how to make a stretcher in the Girl Guides, using a couple of shirts and two broom handles. Not sure how easy it would be to rustle up a defibrilator though!

Of course! In the summer we carry a parasol too - just so no-one gets sunstroke when we're at rest. Every Girl Guide knows she has to BE PREPARED!

I'm genuinely astounded you can fit all the kit you do on your boat. Are you sure 200m of rope is enough though?

Hmm...CDI unit perhaps?

But if you would really like a defib unit they can be acquired from the British Heart foundation with a grant.

Have you been looking at the Equipment List on our website? If so, you'll realise it hasn't been updated for a year or so! Oops! Must put it on my 'To Do' list! We'll show you where all the kit gets stowed away one day - let us know when you've got a day or so to spare.

Anyway, you should know by now that us RIBn***ers have to be prepared for every eventuality. After all, who else is gonna look after you hard boaters (whose safety kit consists of sun cream and condoms )?

That's because a battery charger isn't a fridge.
