SR4 Insurance

Got my renewal quote from Curtis Marine (£197.54) and im just surfing the net to see if I can perhaps better it slightly.
My RIB is a 1992 Avon SR4 with Honda 4stroke o/b.
Any recommended companies out there that you guys use or know of?

If you go elsewhere, be careful that the policy you replace it with gives you the same cover.

Colin Curtis are a specialist marine insurer who will tailor a policy to what you want. Craftinsure are the marketing arm of Navigators & General, underwritten by Zurich Insurance, selling a very basic leisure craft insurance and don't offer any opportunity to tailor it to what you want. So, for example, if your RIB will exceed 50mph, or you're going to make a trip more than 12 miles offshore, then stay clear of Craftinsure of similar policies. If you're happy with the restrictions (and read the small print, as there are quite a few) then fine, and Craftinsure are indeed suitable for insuring smaller craft with a restricted operating range.

Porthcawl Insurance Consultants are another reputable marine insurance broker who are well worth contacting as they offer excellent policies and very competitive rates.

Send a message via AIM to Rob Whitham
Porthcawl

I got cheaper than £180 incl doughnuts and skiing on a 5.4m Searider from Porthcawl. Well worth trying them + they are real people that you can actually talk to rather than just an online form.
