Now if I were to want a new boat(which I don't) it would be a Revenger stepped hull 1st and Scorpion 2nd so I have no bias against their boats themselves.

I do wonder though if the owners of bigger ribs are missing out a bit on the fun factor. Smaller boats are much more nimble - bit like concorde versus a pitts special.
if you had the cash burning a hole in your pocket and could afford a new scorp 8.5 plus then i am surprised you went down the economical route buying the engine you did and getting prosport.

What is wrong with the engine I have? Why waste money when there is no need? As to Prosport at the time I ordered it they were supposed to be OK to deal with - if I had known what sort of scumbag I was dealing with I would have run a mile.

As it turns out my boat is fantastic - I am annoyed with some minor finishing details but they can easily be put right for less than 1k. The engine is a gem and uses no more fuel than a 4 stroke. I would like a bigger engine because the hull is so good - a 300 for now unless Evinrude bring out a light 350 or 400. I do not want twins as I have said before.

The trailer was VERY VERY kindly loaned to me by John Price of Quinquari as the boat builder claimed a trailer wasn't included in the price. When I showed him the paperwork he turned around and said "Ah but it doesn't say WHAT trailer".....

Unfortunately the Guernsey legal system is somewhat different from the mainland but I haven't forgotten. I now have a mate with a fast private plane and Guernsey is only 1hr away!!!
