Day 10: 2nd August 2014

So we are up, showered and off to the weatherspoons for breakfast!

Group 1 has left, that gives us time for some breakfast

Now the drinking laws must be different in Scotland as there's no one having a pint in there and we are the only ones there...

Today we are Ribbing from Arbroath to Whitby

Facebook post by Team Finn (you can see group 1 lined up and ready to go):

New Volvo diagnostic tool arrived Saturday morning at Volvo Penta Dealer Inverness, they have spent all day uploading new software and resetting everything and as we ran through final checks tonight, we had an alarm warning message........

After the most massive push from Southern Ireland the Targa's decide to retire from RB14 in Inverness

It was the most heart wrenching moment for everyone...

Their determination was unreal, they are great people but they were not going to catch us up and the east coast is nowhere to be if you unsure of your equipment.

So all hope had failed and we would continue Round Britain three boats down

Mike and Huw are awesome guys and were greatly missed by everyone

On the way to Whitby we stop at a little seaside town, sorry but I can't recall the name of it???

We are greeted by the resident seal who is busy fishing for his lunch!!!

He's on his own and no other seals are around...
