RIB Crash in Cowes today

Anyone know about this one? Could have done without the coatsguard helicopter hovering outside the bedroom window at 5.30 this morning though... I heard that no one is missing now - they certainly spent a while checking.

Police investigate boat fire

Police are investigating a crash involving two boats near Cowes Harbour during the early hours of this morning. According to Solent Coastguard, a rigid inflatable boat (rib) caught fire, capsized and collided with a Dragon-class yacht. The rib is said to be completely burnt out. An air search was carried out earlier because there are fears someone could have been hurt in the crash.

The RIB was in fact stolen from East Cowes and the petrol used to burn it was stolen from my Rib further up the medina. i suppose it was better than them nicking my Rib

Just a bit! Hope there wasn't damage to yours, Roy.

BTW - could the title be changed from "today" to "Monday 18th" as I keep panicking thinking that there's been another RIB crash in Cowes!
