Checking transom and stringers.

Transom solid just some holes to fill up, hull solid, stringers a bit rotten in places, need to reinforce and glass.

Bwm deepsea 18 refurb.

Filled transom holes with wooden dowels, reinforced the stringers with timber and glass.
I cut the forward bulkhead to move the fuel tank forward to accommodate the console and
built a new one and glassed in.

I also had to raise the tank base, to allow for the angle of the bow, with the tank further forward.
There seemed to be a lot of space down here doing nothing, so i put in 2 more bulkheads and a base for an underdeck locker, with access through a big deckhatch.

Thanks for that Whacky, yea it is, you tend to get a bit carried away once you start, and i never got everything done that i wanted. this time round.

Gerry.
Many thanks but its certainly not on the same scale as your undertaking.

I've done two "projects" now and said I'd never do another as I'd rather be using them than be building them.

Unfortunately I've got that "itch" again though and I find myself looking at boats I shouldn't be.
