Orcas are amazing. I was recently lucky enough to have a close encounter of the Orca kind,
without even being on a boat

I really don't think those orcas are playing..... I think they are trying to work out how they can land on the fast moving iceberg and eat the very large squealing 'Penguins' stood on the back of it......

I saw Dolphins up close in the boat recently and they are a lot larger in real life, being up close with Orcas would be probably more terrifying than exciting :-)

I'm guessing those pics were taken stateside ? Very nice :-)

yep - in the Haro Strait.
count myself very lucky to have been there just as they were,
but a little research and you can increase your chances.
