Thanks for that Mr Whiteshoes!

Right - at the moment it's £525 for a race in the BananaShark in Cardiff +

1 weeks free valet parking at Gatwick airport (thanks to www.parkinggatwick.com) +

Free race licence paid for by us! +

And an invite to the BananaShark end of season "do" at the very posh Soar Mill Cove Hotel (www.soarmillcove.co.uk) as well!
I was hoping to have been able to publish details of the medical required today, but the person who was sending it to me forgot who he was meant to be sending it to! I am assured by a more efficient and less forgetfull member of staff that it will be in the post today!

This is what we have been sent for the Offshore races, I believe the inshore cats will be inside Cardiff bay and OCR as well? There are also Thundercats, ski racing and V24's. There is also in the programme jet sport freestyle demos - ski Bambinos and all sorts of other stuff going on!

Last page! Any questions about the weekend or racing in the BananaShark you can call me on: 07836 268747 - As you can see it will be a fantastic 3 days racing and we are very much looking forward to being part of the first event of its kind - To my knowledge there has never been such a variety of boats racing at the same venue before! But then again I've been wrong before!

All,

I spoke to both RYA and Cardiff Harbour Authority yesterday to get more info on spectating from the RIB.

Cardiff Harbour Authority have advised that there should be no problems viewing in the bay (as long you keep clear fo the racing line etc), there are no barrage restrictions in place so getting in and out of the bay shouldn't be a problem. However the slipways and pontoons within the bay are closed.
(see following NTM's http://www.cardiff.gov.uk/marketing/.../2004ntm28.htm )

The RYA very kindly sent me through the plan for the weekend, which Cookee attached earlier in the thread and suggested I contact John Puddifoot on Monday (He is on hols at the moment). I will let you know what I can find out.

My plan is to try and arrange a mooring in the bay for the duration and launch earlier in the week. Alternatively I have access at Penarth Slipway. The nearest public slip that will be open over the weekend will be Sully. http://www.boatlaunch.co.uk/popup.asp?iconID=190 but note the height restriction. If anyone is heading over drop me a note or give me a call 07879 683898 so we can arrange to meet up. (Jackeens I will drop you a PM after I've spoken to John and sorted out a mooring)

NB the weather doesn't look too bad at the moment ! http://www.metcheck.com/14dayforecas...&locationID=53

Cheers

Mike

She's got two spare double bedrooms and my sisters have a spare room each. I might go down depends on how busy I am.

You'd be most welcome to stay Missus in fact my brother in law is a Paddy so you wouldn't need a translator. If DM is going down he can have a 'put you up' in the garage. I seem to remember he his pheremones having an efffect he has on Welsh Lanladies and I'm not having him as a Fkkn Step Father
(although he does look old enuff)

Well not long now! Went out testing in some rough water on Saturday and the boat was flying - literally!

Medical forms are here - hope they are legible!

We'll need 4 passport photos as well!

In a nutshell, you need normal eyesight (though not perfect vision), you shouldn't be diabetic or have any major heart problems, and must have full and normal movement of all limbs (And have all limbs attached).
Basically, except for diabetes, if all your bits are still attached and still functioning, you should be OK.
