Non absorbant foam and Liferaft cradle.

Hi everyone, I am looking to source some non absorbant foam to line my anchor locker and subdue the smack of the anchor as we run along, can anyone help?

We also need a liferaft cradle not the pushpit kind as we will mount to the deck, if anyone has one or knows where I can get one please shout!

thanks Mike

Hoping to launch this week/end if weather ok!

How about the camping mats that you would use under a sleeping bag. They are quite thin & wouldnt take up a lot of space.

The Camping mats worked for me.

Only problem is that water can get under them and is then very hard to get rid of. It just sits there and never goes. On the cheap mats the colour comes off them and marks your boat. Probably the best mat to use is an old Army one. Very good quality and a bit thicker and more resilient than your average civvy one.

Believe it or not I now use a 98p B & Q bucket. This is tied down to the deck and the anchor, chain and rope etc all fit neatly in to the bucket. If that gets smashed then it only another 98p to replace it.

Camping mats or rubber car mats for us to. One of my boats had a lining of Astro Trf which did a great job.

The busket idea is real cool as it would also double as a sea anchor which is part of the coding requirements

For those of you reading my earlier contribution to this thread I would like to point out that Astro Trf should in fact be Astro Turf. I pointthis out in case any of you thaouthgt that Astro TRF was some form of Cosmic rib cleaner.

The term busket however is not a typo but a generic term to describe using a Bucket as a Basket and indeed Vice Versa.

I am also off to Teco's
