Nida-core and seacast transom repair.

Hi, I'm thinking about doing a transom repair using a pourable compound known as nida-core or another similar product seacast. Has anybody used this product to repair a transom, if so is there any suppliers here in the U.K? Any info would be great, cheers.

Just wondering also, is a standard engine hoist the best thing for hoisting the motor off? it's a heavy lump a Johnson 175 v6. Any idea's to save me buying or hiring an engine hoist??
