Hi Sirewan

Your website looks very promising, I think it's time someone rose up and became what boatsandoutboards.co.uk used to be if not better!

The only thing I'd say is it's very similar to "find a fishing boat"

Looks very fresh though

True, I think the name should give it a broader spectrum though. Peter, have you still got that 75 Merc Clamshell kicking about?

I agree the name is better but then again that site was offering traders a free 6 mth trial to get the interest as it knew the success of it's site relied on the traders getting onboard. Once they have committed to it the rest will follow.

The downside to it was the file size for pictures.

Get the traders onboard and your onto a winner...

That Merc with PTT fault priced 750 has gone but I have 3 more just in. One 75hp ready to go (one piece hood) with 120 hours priced 1795, another 1997 90 mariner runs great but has PTT fault (not looked into what yet) and another 2003 Mariner 75hp runs great but has faulty PTT and rough gearbox, again not looked into why as yet.

Selling advertising at the moment is very hard work, anyone who has survived the last few years had probably done so by reining everything in and relying on good customers to spread the word.

For example we have an ad on here at the moment, but before we went down that route we thought long and hard - looking at and weighing up all the pros and cons.

Hear hear!

Like being able to repeat a search for some thing the same category without starting from scratch, being able to search by HP or a price function that works.

I am off for a lie down in a dark bilge.

THAT will be why nobody answered there phone on Monday DOH!!! I think I need one of those bank holiday things myself..

I understand that people are tightening belts right now and that it's not easy even for the big operators. It was one of the main reasons for setting this site up. A site that gave people a (not taking the p@@@) price point, no commision, other hidden fees, a simple to navigate and informative outlet with 16 weeks of selling support.

Anyway got ma 135 fitted to Jumper today so thats at least one tick in the happy box.
