RIBase
I think you'd be looking at £2000 to replace it with something of a similar size.

It doesn't seem enough though-it looks fantastic!

Looks great.

Very impressive, I like the way you put the steering way in front. I find that these ribs raise the bow up real fast and with the wait distributed to the front I think you have come up with a winning set up. Iím setting close to back and find that itís hard to keep the front end tame at full throttle take off. One question though your pics have no metal bars crossing your rib, I do. I wonder if I can take mine off. It would save a lot of layout problems. I like your open concept and I can see a bench seat fitting across the back easy, I can also see a bench in the front but it seems it still would be for one person. Great with me for Iím mostly alone on it. Keep me posted on how she handles. My wife would like me to get something bigger but I have grown attached to it. She just is having a hard time with it because last year we headed out and hit a fluke wave that almost catapulted her out the boat. She got some good bruising though but now she doesnít trust the rib. I have been telling her that changing the set up would help and sheís going to give it another try.
Take care; youíve got something to be proud of.

the bar across the rib is for your steering only and not as a support of any kind as the tubes are supported by the rib if you could make a support for the steering up front i will do you a drawing and size if you want of the consol as you can see it is only on temperrary piece of plywood at the moment i am going to the d-i-y to get all the 12 mm plywood weather bonded i will keep you informed but their will be enough for 2 in the front and 2 in the back as the seats will measure 35in across but the grand children are getting excited know they have got the pics as a screen saver

Your rib does look like there is more room in it than mine.

I suppose you canít wait to get it in the water now. I think itís all the metal bars going across mine that makes it look smaller that it really is. Iíll be finally getting my rib in the water May 24, Iím working 12hr shifts tell then. Iím going to take the bars off and give it a spin to see if there is any difference in handling. Maybe they were there to attach the seat cushions to?

i have finaly finished the seat boxes as you can see the both seats are the same size front and back i have decided to put a cushon across the both seats and desighn a removable back rest for the front so it can be put at the back of the seat for driving and taken out and put at the front of the seat for fishing backwards that seens to be a better idia see what happens i will keep you informed as progress develops
