Hello all, not been on for a while so apologies if there is already a thread running regarding the same, I would like to purchase a third wheel for my trailer, sand skipper or similar, any ideas/views please.

We launch from the beach at Abersoch and I am looking into options for a 3rd wheel to make it easier for me launch/recover on my own.

This is on eBay, not sure how strong they are

That's what I've been looking at to, but when I've looked on Google images there have been several variations, some home made and some commercially purchased, I always want to check out the market, I'm still thinking of making my own but my main concern would be total weight, I launch from two locations, one with tractor and one with my Tiguan.

that's just a suspension leg and wheel you don't need anything heavy as your nose weight of the trailer should be around 100kg most important is wheel width to spread the load.

cheers
